1st run at Old Pueblo

Non photos but I got wordz on it. Yester, my old roommate and I went out to the Old Pueblo trails so I could see the 24hr MTB course before the night race. It was 17 miles of gorgeous mountain & cactus landscapes, with fluxxing terrain, cows shi*tting on site, and a lot of smooth trek with some fun technical bits.

The first half of the ride seemed like climbing and since I hadn’t ridden my bike in a week (aside from daily commute), my legs were weak as ice chips. Nick shreds and with how much he rides MTB, he should. He showed me the “Rock Drop” which looks doable once I get some good balance and mileage under my bones from this MTB.

The course was great. Plenty of downhill, sharp turns and technical spots to keep me on my feet, let alone dodging cholla cactus on the trek. Suffice to say, my arms are sore and my body aches for breakfast!

Chow time.

Dog walk.

Work time.

Sleep walk.
