After ditching out on my original bike plans this am, I still rode with my buddy Trav-dog to run errands and the ride was a good climb and plenty of laughs to enjoy. It’s funny how much I focus on bettering my techniques and try to maintain a schedule when most of the time I simply want good company and a fun ride.
The day was gorgeous and my ride was swift as all hell. IT was basically as though I was riding a completely new bicycle. My mid-90s Specialized Allez frame stayed, but I had different Campy wheels, freshly trued. Some new cable and shifter housing, along with my new used set of gorgeous Ultegra brakes. Better fitted bars and rewrapped tape. Women’s Terry saddle. It rode like a dream.
